JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Managing Director
The Nelson Family has been actively involved in managing and supporting Camp Cadicasu for over 45 years! Mike Nelson, the Camp Managing Director, came to Cadicasu first as a camper, and then worked his way, on and off, through the system of being everything from a counselor to a member of the maintenance staff to finally accepting the role of Managing Director in 1989. Mike is a graduate of the Alberta College of Art but has spent many years in the forefront of Canadian camping as President of the Canadian Camping Association and as President of the Alberta Camping Association and as the Western Canadian representative to the World Camping Congress. Mike’s background and experience in the Yukon as a member of the Task Force for Government to prepare and develop child care legislation has more than prepared him for the task of managing Camp Cadicasu programs and activities. The Camp Mike runs is much like himself: loving, spiritual with a high degree of integrity, sincerity and respect for others.
