CAMPER QUESTIONS

Can I request to stay with my friend who is also coming to camp the same week as I am?
You can make the request, but there is no guarantee that this will be possible. Room assignments are based on the total number of campers, gender breakdown, age breakdown, and space availability.

Is camp safe?
Safety at Camp Cadicasu is our main concern. We have never had a serious injury and all staff is certified in First Aid and Lifesaving, but more importantly they have extensive experience and training in running safe programs for children aged 8 – 17. There will be adult supervision to all campers day and night!

What happens if I get home sick for my family?
We hope this won’t happen because you are having so much fun and are just too busy to think about your family back home. If you do feel homesick, you can talk to your counselor and they will find a solution that will make you happy and less lonesome.

Is Camp scary?
Not at all! The Management and staff work very hard to make sure that each day is filled with so much fun, that you will laugh, run and play and do so many things that are exciting and new. We promise you that you will have a good time and want to come back and visit us again in the future!

Are there lots of animals and scary things in or around the camp?
You will be living in a protected area and will have lots of security all day and all night. You must remember you are visiting an area where animals and wildlife live on a full time basis. You are the visitor and this is the animal’s home so you must respect that. There have been no situations which have resulted in any accidents so you do not have to worry. Just use your common sense and enjoy the animals and their home, and know you will always have an adult close by to help you understand the beautiful country and the gifts of nature. The Staff of camp are trained and will know how to deal with any issues related to wildlife in the area.

Will the new camp be like the old camp?
Yes! The new camp is new only because it is now located in a new place with brand new buildings and lots of new adventures to discover! It will be like the old camp in that it will carry on with all of the traditional programs and you will have the same rich experiences you have had, or heard about from campers in previous years. It is going to be GREAT! Keep in mind that many of the Counselors will be returning from last year, so there will be lots of familiar faces for you when you arrive!
