JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Camp Bus Driver is responsible for:
- Reports directly to the Camp Director
- For having a valid up-to-date drivers license with no outstanding warrants or fines
- For transporting campers and staff to horseback riding, outtrips or any other location as directed by the Camp Executive or Program Directors
- For the overall care and maintenance of any camp vehicle used in transporting campers and camp personnel
- For the safety of all passengers
- For the operating of the camp vehicle in a safe and legal manner observing all the pertinent laws regarding the transportation of camp people
- For the conduct of all passengers while the vehicle is in use
- For operating the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner thereby safeguarding the goodwill of the community
- For preparing and maintaining the bus schedule and to the best of his/her ability, ensuring the schedule meets the needs of all involved
- For maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in the vehicle during use
- For the secure storage and transporting of all equipment on the overhead luggage racks
- For assisting other staff members in the carrying out of their duties when not otherwise involved in the duties of the bus driver
- For being familiar and having “bought into” the camp philosophy and goals
- For having thoroughly read and agreed with the Camp Cadicasu Counselor Manual
- For safeguarding the goodwill of the parents and the community-at-large
- For safeguarding the Camp Cadicasu Association of Calgary, Board of Directors and fellow staff members against litigation resulting from negligent behavior on his/her part
