JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Maintenance Staff is responsible for:
- Reports directly to the Camp Director
- For ensuring a high level of cleanliness in all camp washrooms
- For assisting the kitchen staff in the mess hall and kitchen clean up
- For cleaning up the mess hall properly after all means, a thorough scrubbing of the entire floor surface once a week and making sure that the mess hall is in a clean and presentable condition prior to the camp start on Sunday evening
- For helping the kitchen staff in the cleaning of the evening cocoa pots
- For the collecting, splitting and proper storage of campfire wood
- For the preparation each evening of the campfire as directed by either the Executive or Program Directors
- For assisting the senior staff in the preparation of core programming whenever necessary
- For ensuring that the necessary construction and repairs of the camp facilities are carried out
- For assisting and initiating tasks for the general camp cleanliness, appearance and safety
- For the collection and proper disposal of all camp refuse
- For the safeguarding and proper use of camp equipment and tools, and for the proper storage and maintenance of the camp equipment and tools
- For assisting the kitchen staff or other staff on an as-needed basis
- For being familiar and having “bought into” the camp philosophy and goals
- For safeguarding the Camp Cadicasu Association of Calgary, Board of Directors and fellow staff members against litigation resulting from negligent behavior on his/her part
